Welcome to the training course on blended mentoring on employment related issues under the project “e-Mentoring: New skills and competencies for new jobs’ (2011-2013) No. 511579-LLP-2010-LT-KA3-KA3M, www.e-mentoring.eu.
This project addresses common needs of students in High Education and in Vocational Education and Training (VET) institutions and adults to gain employment-related skills/competences for re-/entering fast-changing labour market (by getting employed or by starting own business). During the project the mentoring on employment-related issues as the blended learning method is being implemented for above mentioned target groups.

How to learn
General course instructions for Mentee how to organize their self-directed training in the training course.
This is a self-learning training course and it consists of different types of the training materials, combined in 4 learning sessions:
- Readings. This session provides the theoretical background of the mentoring on employment-related issues from the mentee’s point of view. The reading materials are divided into 7 modules. By reading these modules, you will get acquainted with the main features of the mentoring on employment-related issues and will be prepared to participate effectively in the mentoring process as a mentee.
- Learning by doing. This is a questions/answers session. The self-directed learning methodology is based on the closed questions, and by answering the questions, you are actively involved in analysing suggested by the question situation from your point of view. After the answering the question, the system provide the learner with the estimation of his/her answer (is it was correct or not) with the clear explanation of the correct answer. Thus, these learning materials are provided in the attractive and interactive way.
- Video. It is a video-films session. The collection of the video-spots is used to visualise the training course.
- Success Stories. This session introduces the success stories of mentoring on employment-related issues. These success stories could encourage you to participate in the mentoring and to learn the benefits of being mentee.
How to jump-start your self-learning.
We suggest starting with Readings, and then following by the Learning by doing session, Video and Success stories. However, you can make your one chose in the sequences of self-learning as the whole 4 mentioned learning sessions are developed as an independent learning sessions
Main learning outcomes for Mentee training course
After completing this training course Mentee will be able to:
- Understand what mentoring is and how the process is structured;
- Understand the Mentee’s active role in mentoring process;
- Understand the role and responsibility of Mentee;
- Establish his/her goals for mentoring on employment-related issues;
- Understand the confidentiality of the mentoring process and the necessity to follow the certain rules of ethics;
- Use the Open Educational Resources (OERs) on employability and entrepreneurship to improve his/her skills.
